Private equity Bluestone Equity Partners has invested in the AI-powered video editing tech firm, VideoVerse. Although the funding amount remains undisclosed, a report from YourStory estimates an investment of around $45M.
Funding Ventures: This marks Bluestone's third investment and its inaugural venture into the realm of SaaS companies from its $300M fund initiated in Q1 of 2023.
Founder Sentiments: CEO & Co-founder of VideoVerse, Vinayak Shrivastav, is excited about the partnership with Bluestone, highlighting the company’s focus on global expansion and harnessing the limitless potential of AI in media technology.
Branching Out: Concurrently, VideoVerse Co-founders, Saket Dandotia and Alok Patil, have launched Onetab, a new startup focusing on AI-based SaaS solutions. They aim to generate $200M in revenue in the next three years.
Unique Offering: VideoVerse’s AI-infused SaaS platform, Magnifi, transforms full-length videos into concise, real-time short-form content and highlights. Its clientele includes global sports and entertainment broadcasters like the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, and Wimbledon.
Previous Funding: Last year, VideoVerse secured $46.8M in Series B funding, led by A91 Partners, Alpha Wave Global, and Binny Bansal, the ex-co-founder of Flipkart.
