Perlego's $20M to Transform EdTech with AI
Perlego, a subscription-based digital library, has raised $20 million to enhance its offerings and make academic resources more accessible for students globally. This funding will help expand its extensive catalog of over one million titles, support more learners, and integrate AI into its platform.
$20M Funding: Led by former Tesco CEO Sir Terry Leahy, the round includes support from ITHAKA (the company behind JSTOR), MediaHuis, Raine, KPN Ventures, and the founders of Kahoot, bringing total funding to $75 million.
Accessible Learning: Perlego provides unlimited access to a vast library of academic titles in six languages, partnering with top publishers like Cambridge University Press and Elsevier.
AI-Powered Innovation: The investment will facilitate the launch of Dialogo, an AI-driven Research Assistant that helps students find relevant sources within Perlego’s library.
Enhanced Research: Dialogo will simplify the research process by providing contextually relevant sources and linking to full texts, addressing challenges students face with traditional searches.
With this funding, Perlego is set to make significant strides in transforming the educational landscape, empowering learners with innovative solutions and improving access to essential learning materials. The future of accessible education looks brighter with Perlego at the forefront.
