Graphite Raises $52M in Series B

Graphite, an AI-powered code review platform based in New York, has raised $52 million in Series B funding. The round, led by Accel and supported by investors like  Menlo Ventures & Anthropic's Anthology Fund, Shopify Ventures Figma Ventures, and Andreessen Horowitz, will help the company expand its operations and development efforts. "Revenue grew 20x in 2024, and we’ve scaled to serving tens of thousands of engineers at more than 500 companies," said co-founder & CEO Merrill Lutsky. Notable clients include Shopify, Snowflake, and Figma.

AI-Powered Code Review Innovation. Graphite’s platform uses AI to automate key aspects of the code review process, including providing instant feedback, summarizing pull requests, and converting comments into actionable code suggestions. It also self-heals failing CI systems. "We shared what we built with a few ex-Meta engineers, who quickly shared it more broadly, and soon the demand for Graphite became too loud to ignore," said co-founder Merrill Lutsky. The platform's unique features help developers ship code faster with fewer errors and greater efficiency.

Expansion and Future Plans. With the new funding, Graphite plans to continue enhancing its platform and expand its team. The company is also launching Diamond, a new AI tool focused on automatic bug detection. To address security concerns, Graphite offers customizable filters and unique patterns for codebases, ensuring that sensitive information is protected. This funding positions Graphite for continued growth as it looks to become the leading tool in AI-powered code review.
