Tesla‘s Cybertruck was unveiled at a delivery event which marked a significant milestone in the company’s journey since Elon Musk’s first tweet about building a truck six years ago.

  • Expensive Evolution: The Cybertruck has evolved significantly since its initial debut in 2019, with prices soaring higher than the original projections. The details provided were limited, but the broad strokes paint a fascinating, albeit high-priced, picture.
  • Three Variants: The Tesla Cybertruck will be available in three different configurations. The most affordable model, priced at $60,990, won’t be available until 2025. Meanwhile, the all-wheel-drive version and the top-tier Cyberbeast have estimated price tags of $79,990 and $99,990, respectively.
  • Range Extender Option: Tesla plans to offer a range extender to boost the mileage of both the all-wheel-drive and Cyberbeast models, though no details on pricing were shared.
  • No Federal Tax Credit: Any electric vehicle priced above $80,000 will not be eligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit.
  • Upgraded Electrical System: In a significant upgrade, Tesla has switched from a 12-volt to a 48-volt electrical system for more efficient power distribution.
  • Interior Details: The Cybertruck has an 18.5-inch infinity touchscreen in the front, a 9.4-inch touchscreen in the back, and a 15-speaker sound system. Other features include a built-in HEPA air filter, a wireless charging system, and outlets for USB-C and 120V/240V.

These key points only scratch the surface of what the Tesla Cybertruck has to offer. As deliveries begin, and more of these futuristic pickups hit the road, expect to see more details emerge.
